He later found out that they were the only identical twin sisters with autism known to be savants. The twins’ memories are akin to Dustin Hoffman’s character in the movie “Rain Man.” To this day, he maintains a friendship with the twins, and they still call his every week. These interactions keep him going, and he is elated to see those he knows and meet the many new residents of Tampa Bay
