Following years of reporting and anchoring music programs, she moved to talk radio and began her career at WNWS in Miami where she spent three years. She later worked mid-days at WGR based in Buffalo, and KPRC in Houston. In addition, she replaced Tom Snyder on the ABC Satellite Radio Network in 1992.
After that, Marshall moved to work for WLS-FM based in Chicago where she hosted an afternoon drive talk show. Moreover, she then joined KGO radio based in Francisco where she covered a midday show on KHTK/Hot Talk in Sacramento. She hosted Bay Talk on KRON-TV, a local NBC affiliate. However, after two years she moved back to Chicago at WLS and also co-hosted “Beyond the Beltway” on WGR-TV. Two years later, she relocated to Los Angeles to join her husband. While there, she worked for KFI, KABC radio, and KLSX during the weekends and was signed to KLAC, a sister station to KFI.
After KLAC turned over to music, Marshall took the chance and hosted her show that lasted for a year on WWKB located in Buffalo, New York. After spending a year at WWKB, she was lucky to be nationally syndicated. However, her show is aired every night of the week on WWKB.
